Non solo la forma della foglia è fantastica. La pianta è particolarmente bella per le sue radici spesse e solide che sono robuste su una pietra o un pezzo di legno. La pianta non cresce verso l'alto ma in orizzontale. Ciò significa che diventa sempre più lunga.
